FAI Registrations

When a registration appears on clubzap, you would run a cross check of their name on fai connect. If they are already registered then you may only need to update their profile image. If not registered then you would need to create a new folder on your computer and do the following.

1.Name the folder after the player’s name.
2. When you open the players account on clubzap, right click their image and select copy. Open Microsoft Paint and paste the image in. Resize the image to            a headshot size photo and save to folder. Do the same with their passport or birth cert and also add to folder.
(Note) if you don’t receive the profile image and ID docs in the players registration, you would need to email the parent and request it. The FAI does not accept laminated pictures as profile pictures.

3.You can input the players home address and parent email from clubzap.
4.Log into your fai connect account and on the left side of the page you will see several tabs like “Players – Coaches & Staff – Clubs – Competitions etc”

If you can’t see this, click on your profile image at the top right of the page, scroll down to the Corbally United box and open that. If that doesn’t allow you access, then log out, click on this link to enter again. This can happen sometimes but once your logged in you should be ok.

5. On the fai admin page, click on Club – my club and run a cross check on the player’s name. If the player is not on our database, then they will need to be        registered as a new player. On the left side of the page, click on Player > first registration.
6. Enter the players details including date of birth – country of birth ( look on passport or birth cert) Parents name if under 18 years old. Email address, the same email address can be added as guardian email unless stated in clubzap registration.
7. Add image of player and crop it to fit if needed.
8. Click on registration type and enter first registration, click on documents and enter the players image and passport or birth cert. Click out of that box and click on contacts, add the players address information and click save.
Once the info you added is inputted currently you can click on “options” and the end of the page > generate registration form

(Note) if you make a mistake when entering the home address or incorrect country of birth or something similar, continue to generate a registration form, this will download to your download folder. Delete that file, return to the online registration and click on edit in the top half of the page. Now you can fix any errors and generate a new form.

9. Adobe Acrobat should open once a file is downloaded, if not then open manually. As you are an admin, you can sign the form at the end of the page, make sure to match the date of registration on the form with your digital signature on adobe. Once completed, save this file to the players folder you made earlier. (Note) the parent will also receive a copy of the registration once uploaded.

10. You now need to upload this signed form to the player’s fai account. The players file should still be open on your computer, at the end of the page click on documents and upload the signed registration form to the registration box, then upload the profile image of the player in the photo box. Click out of the area which will bring you back to the player page. Click on edit at the bottom left and click on save as submitted.
If all data is entered correctly the players registration will be send to the fai to be approved. This can take hours to days depending on the time of year. Registrations can take up to 15 minutes depending on experience and there are built indicators on the fai platform to let you know if something is missing.
